Pre-installation Preparation
Verify the dimensions of the door opening to ensure they match the glass door specifications; level out any uneven wall or floor surfaces.
Gather necessary tools-such as a power drill, spirit level, glass suction cups, and sealant-and inspect the tempered glass and hardware for damage.
Clean dust and grease from the installation area and ensure the glass edges are beveled beforehand to prevent scratching.
Core Installation Steps
- Layout and Positioning: Mark the centerline and determine the door frame location; precisely measure the elevations of the floor and the top of the frame, keeping any deviations within permissible limits.
- Frame Securing: Install the top guide channel and the floor-mounted base support (or wooden base); the channel width should exceed the glass thickness by 2–4 mm, with a depth of 10–20 mm, and be clad with metal decorative panels.
- Glass Installation: Using glass suction cups, 2–3 people lift the glass, inserting the top into the guide channel and placing the bottom into the base support; temporarily secure it with flat wooden strips, leaving a gap of approximately 4 mm.
- Sealing: Inject sealant evenly into all gaps; fill continuously, then smooth out excess sealant and wipe away any residue from the surface.
- Hardware Adjustment: Install the floor spring, door clamps, and handles; ensure the floor spring is aligned with the top pivot pin, and adjust the door's opening and closing speed for smooth, snag-free operation.
